What an amazing experience at class!
I was cleaning the mat before class last night and a guy and girl were staring in the windows and giving me a thumbs up. I always forget it's 24 hour now and you need a key card to get Inside. I let them in and they introduced themselves. They were Gracie Barra Louisiana.
The guy was a brown belt instructor and his wife had trained for five years. They were passing through and saw the jiu jitsu sign and had to stop. He explained that it was so awesome to see a jiu jitsu sign in such a small town. I invited them to join and we stretched and ran through the first warmup series in 8 and a half minutes. His face was sorta shocked and wondered why the kids were doing such advanced techs . I explained how Eddie wants us all on the same page. The look on his face was nice.
They sorta looked like they were trying to make a run for the door lol. Anyways we moved into the second series of warmups for the next hour and a half. At the end they were so surprised at the open and relaxed class, kids techniques, 10th Planet family feel I guess. They routinely have classes of 40 + people and I'm lucky to keep 6-10 kids. It just made me happy that their minds have been changed forever about 10th Planet.
