Hello all I competed in my first ever sub only tournament this past weekend been working on a lot of different things for this tournament. Felt great going in and came out on top took first place in the intermediate division 220+

heres my 2nd match I was in a 5 man bracket so 2 wins got me to first this guy was way crazy strong and tried to do one of the only moves not allowed (neck crank). My goal with this match was to wear him down and get the sub later in match I really wanted to finish with something other than the RNC as that I wanted to impress everyone and some people dont think to highly of it but got it in threw in a freedom rock and finished quickly :)
Oh and first match was finished via americana very very deep guys should flex was amazing i had his elbow pitted right to his ribs even but still got it was going to switch very soon but could tell he was close to the tap

Also huge thank you to coach zog I really been working the russian arm tieup he showed us at the east coast training camp and on a failed throw some led me to a arm drag lol I have never once in my life tried or even been taught an arm drag but was told after my match by a few wrestlers it was a good one lol

Good job David. That was the most literal arm drag I have ever seen. If I may suggest, drill mount to spider web. It was screamin at ya. Learn to slide up into s-mount and deep hook. That would be game over.

Thank you sir I'm highly motivated to progress. I was getting burnt out but the EFG comp before the sub only tourny lit a new fire under me. I'm back to watching tech videos and training like i should. Big guy or not there are some great moves for me. Just have to find what things work for my body type and drill drill drill and keep my cardio up thats a huge factor in my weight class. I felt great the whole time. Naga is next for me in November. Then EFG state finals in December i'm currently in first place with the guy that just won Pan ams in NY right behind me he beat me 0-6 last time I will be more prepared next time wooooooo 10P4L!!!!
Good job David. I would be impressed with a RNC. If it's there hit it and take the win. Study the way Eddie teaches it and even though it's a common sub, good people will see the high level in which you apply it.
