Still no 10th Planet in Florida?...Not for long :-)

It is with a humble heart I would like to share with my brothers and sisters on the forum and announce here 1st:

May 1st, The Training Yard in Atlantic Beach, FL will become home to the 1st official moon in Florida,
10th Planet Atlantic Beach.

I've been friends with the owner, Dean Grant, since I moved here. The Training Yard has had HIIT Training and MMA for over 6 years and Dean is very well know and respected here in Jacksonville. Dean is truly an ambassador of good vibes, is a Black Belt under Chris Hauter and a pro MMA fighter as well. He loves our system so much he has taken off the gi and wants to re-rank up and eventually become a 10Pl Black Belt as well. We believe the combo of strength and conditioning and no-gi Jiu Jitsu are no brainer. Looking forward to growing ourselves a small army of in shape finishers.

Massive thank you to Master Eddie for everything. He changed the game. Thank you for allowing us to spread and grow. I am so proud to be affiliated with 10th Planet. Although we make new friends along the journey, from day one till I'm done, 10thP4L.

congrats! that's actually pretty exciting. i know where my next road trip will be :)

not to derail thread, although i will, but man... we need a stronger 10p presence around Miami.
first of all it's very close to U.S. (j/k).., and with all the ATT gyms and many top schools like cyborg's and gracies, still i know personally at least 10 people that would love to learn the 10th planet system.

but despite the efforts that Woolsey clan and Ross had put into it, we're lacking the right connections, IMHO, to truly attract enough people and make our hotbox (and eventually a moon) into a permanent thing.

i know people on this forum have connections, so let's get in touch. whether with me here or Ross or anyone down in FL.
we need to join forces; and two simple things: 1. mat space 2. person with an open mind who's willing to bring 10th planet into their gym.

we have a ton of top notch grapplers here moving from Brazil and other places, Miami is a mecca of grappling on the east cost. sorry to vent to so much, but I just wish we had a stronger presence here... and I am very much willing to help make it happen.
