This is a loyalty thing. I think the way Nathan presented the facts were very clear and I totally agree with him.

I authorized this thread.
Dustin has been twisting the truth a little too much lately so this story had to be set straight. Too many of my students are being lied to by Dustin and this effects all of the association.
As soon as I gave him his brown belt he opened a school right next to mine and became my competition. He thinks there's nothing wrong with that. And he's telling my students that it's ok to train at his school because I approved it. Not true.
Thank you all for the dedication and support of the 10th Planet system :)
I just wanted to say that I see a level of disrespect on the 10th planet forum at times. Though 10th Planet is not as traditional as other jiu jitsu schools, respect should still be shown to belts higher than you. It's fine to argue a point with anyone no matter what belt they are, but everyone should remember, we are practicing a martial art, which involves respect, integrity, and loyalty.
I trained and competed in taekwondo when I was younger until I got a black belt, I've been training muay thai for 7 years and I also have been teaching, and now I train jiu Jitsu under Eddie - there's a consistent level of respect you see in martial arts to people who are more experienced or higher ranked than you.
My suggestion to some people is to write your posts the way you would act in person at HQ - not only will it earn you respect in turn, but you will also make our team look more serious and less immature.
I think their should be a "non-compete" clause in ALL of the 10PJJ school student contracts.
Eddie, you know as well as I do, if you decided to quit Zuffa today, but contract you cannot do SHIT for at least a year (if not more) with anything related to MMA.
I know I had something in my contract with Zuffa that kept me from doing any promoting with smaller MMA organizations.
It'd be an easy addition to the contract/wavier release form when new students sign up (and renew)
Then, if you get a dirtbag that decides to do something like this again, you have the full support of your local judicial system. ...and will have to PERSONALLY pay for any costs you occurred during their stupid stunt.
I have all my Board Members for my businesses sign a 2.5 year Non-compete clause. Thats Florida/Colorado limits. Every state is different.
Hope this helps.
