Felt like sharing this FB status from tonights event (10th Planet Birmingham UK)
So fucking proud of two 10th Planet warriors tonight.
Ryan Butler deserved that win like no one could believe.
This kid has dedicated himself to learning every aspect of the game. In a little over 2 yrs since Elements opened he has risen up and done every single thing asked of him, from striking to takedowns to td defence and his specialty the ground, on top of hill sprints, barbell workouts and god knows what other types of conditioning he's put himself through.
Those are the Elements of MMA and Ryans the first one to start from scratch here and prove we got the winning formula. Hope the army appreciates what its gaining.
As for Kane Harris the heart he showed in that cage tonight was unbelivable!
Not once was he out of that fight despite being hit with a tirade of shots which would have seen many world level fighters curl into a ball and prey to the ref for a stoppage.
Most of you reading this wont have been there, but its a fucked up predicament, a dark place and it takes a different kind of toughness and stubbornness to stand back up screaming bring it on when everything else inside of you just wants out.
This is what we mean by going to war, and this is why tonight highlighted what being a 10th Planet/Elements soldier is all about.
Can't have asked for more from the boys on the front line tonight. 'Proud' being a massive understatement.
