It all makes sense now...
Wow, he pops for coke and the UFC verbally jerks him off still. Are they overturning the decision because if they did because Matt Riddle and Nick Diaz pissed hot for weed than they damn sure should scratch that victory.
BIG SURPRISE lol
Apparently Cocaine is not illegal for competition, so the fight outcome will stand.
I'm Rick Jon Jones James Bitch!
So...they tested for a drug when resulted in a positive has no punishment whatsoever...but weed, you get crucified???
Well... Weed is a performance enhancing drug, so it's different.
To be fair it was outside of competition during a random test, there was no cocaine, nor cocaine metabolites in his body on the day of the fight. The athletic commission does not have any penalties for out of competition cocaine test.

Eeyyy, who remembers this?
Also that was a post fight test, not a random drug test a month before the event. Not saying I like bones, but he used a recreational drug well in advance of the fight, and did not test positive on the day of the fight. It just so happens that cocaine leaves your system faster than marijuana. As it is though if he wasn't positive the day of it doesn't really mater.
Not denying that. But in this case it was a month ahead of time, if it was marijuana he was positive for on that random test the only difference would be that he wouldn't enter rehab because that would be ridiculous. Still no fine, no penalty. Diaz has claimed to smoke up to two weeks out for most fights, which means he got away with that pretty often. Add to that, the NSAC has since raised the threshold up to 150nanograms, in which case Diaz and Riddle would not have tested positive at the levels they had in their system. Most people could smoke up to a week out from the fight if they want, and be fine. For ufc 143 diaz tested at 25nanograms, the threshold at the time was 15nanograms.
Damn Kevin, you really know the cannabis/UFC thing!
“I’ve always been a person who tries to do the right thing in life, for the most part,” said Jones. “I’m no angel, but I was always the kid who snitched on the kids who had pot. I don’t want to offend the pot smokers out there, but I was kind of just a snitch. I was just down for people doing the right thing. My parents kind of raised me to be a good guy. I’ve always been down for the good side, I guess.” -Jon Jones
You think they will ax his Nike sponsorship for real this time?
Thought they already axed his nike sponsorship. As far as reebok goes, they're supporting him.
Who's to say he wasn't using it as a performance enhancer and not recreationally. Maybe he found the magic potion to keep him running and bring his cardio to the next level. Maybe since its gone from your system so fast he "cycles" out to not cause suspicion?????
http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2015/1/7/...normal-hormone
The Nevada athletic commission tested Jon Jones on three separate occasions during December 2014. Two of these tests, both administered on December 4th, showed the presence of cocaine metabolites. What has received less discussion is that all three tests show abnormal levels of testosterone and/or epitestosterone.
All tests show his testosterone level being significantly below the normal margin. His T:E levels of .35 .29 and .19 raise flags, but it is the actual levels of hormone detected which raise more questions.
On what appears to be his first test of December 4th, Jones testosterone levels measured at 59ng/dL. The normal range is 300ng/dL to 1100ng/dL. His epitestosterone levels measured at 170ng/dL. The normal range for epitestosterone is similar to that of testosterone.
On what appears to be his second test of that day, his testosterone levels had risen significantly to 180ng/dL, which is much closer to normal. His epitestosterone levels had also risen to 610ng/dL, which is perfectly normal.
On December 18th his testosterone levels are still lower than normal, at 180ng/dL, but his epitesterone appears to be massively elevated, coming in at 2700ng/dL. This is a red flag. Epitestosterone is produced in parallel with testosterone, and in a normal, healthy individual every 1ng/dL of testosterone produces roughly 1ng/dL of epitestosterone. Natural variance means anything from 0.7x to 2x are pretty common. Jon Jones had roughly 15x more epitestosterone than testosterone
whoa. Source?
thanks. why is this not getting more traction?
Looks like there's some trickery afoot.
Also, how plausible is it for a fighter to keep his weight down using cocaine?
Didn't melvin gallard get suspended for cocaine?
Dana White still kissing Jon Jones ass! .... "I'm proud of Jon" -Dana
UFC is disappointing right now.
Big fucking cover up!!!! Distract the media and fans with cocaine. Check. To cover up the fact that Jones testosterone-to-epitestosterone ratio (commonly referred to as “T:E ratio”) is really low which would indicate Jones was cycling off testosterone usage. Yet the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) is silent about this???? I wonder how far this corruption goes to protect the UFC's money cow, Jones?
Watch Video below. Dana being a hypocrite! Again, this video is still not talking about whats really going on.

I was really surprised when this came out. Almost as surprised as Hogan live on the podcast. Jon Jones comes across as a spiritual kinda guy, its really out of character. But then again I guess we only see one side of him. I'm a huge fan of Daniel Cormier and he has a lot of shit to talk about JJ so there must be something he knows that we or I don't.
Where the hell are the post-fight drug test results???
yeah they knew he dropped dirty a month before the fight started. Dana said the reason the fight went on was because cocaine is not a performance enhancer and that jones was healthy to fight. Then he contradicted himself saying that when you find out something like this about a person, you worry about the person first, and their concern now was getting him healthy. Either way his victory over cormier is still legit imo. Not the best example to set for the kids but he is still young himself and it is a real thing that happens to people, even champions. The UFC doesn't care about they're fighters anyway, its all about the money. i'm sure this story will end up selling a lot of tickets for them.
A lil blow never hurt no one, just Daniel Cormier!
Yeah this is really fukt. But what's the alternative for Dana? Come out 2 weeks before this huge fight that is trying to recover from the really bad 2014 (injury problems) and say "well Jon's T/E ratios are all fucked, plus he's blowin' lines, so we're going to cancel the first fight of 2015 and throw his belt up like a bouquet at a wedding?
It is what it is, it's the best we got... problems of PED use, blood doping, all kinds of crazy shit we don't even know about... is what it is.... Without the extra T, would Jon not have dominated DC? I dunno, tell me what DC's exact T/E levels were over the last 6 months... and Jon's too...
I don't like it, no one does, but blaming Dana to me seems like just trying to find a target for the frustration. I don't personally have any real suggestions for solutions to any of this. But Dana letting the UFC be the sacrificial lamb for the massive "come to jesus" that needs to happen in all of professional sports with respect to PED seems is something I dont want to see... let the NFL deal with the problems of professional athletes and what they put into their bodies.
MMA as a mainstream product is good for martial arts, and the UFC has done more to advance martial arts than any other organization in the history of unarmed human combat... at least as far as I can tell. Fuck it, Jon was messin with his T, and doin some coke, I'm over it... what's next, when does that Irish dude fight again? :)
Come on guys another one fighter caught on cocaine also tell me that they all do not take steroids and various prohibited drugs to stimulate physical activity. In my opinion it's all such a show off everyone knows that top athletes sit on various drugs but everyone pretends that it is not so. Today there are many fast and accurate tests on the content of drugs in the blood for example like this one https://testcountry.com which in during 15 mines can determine on than sits athlete and not to do from this whole show on entire country and wait results several weeks but nobody does that
