Hi Eddie,
Did you catch Cyborg's final match in his weight class at the nogi worlds?
He finished David Herzog super quick with a sub that I've only seen him do - a shin on neck choke.
I know you like to keep up to date with the latest moves so I'm wondering if you know how he did it and if you're working on it or not.
I want to see that

That looks like the Nutcracker with a gi on. I started doing this when I was at HQ a few years ago. Here is my no-gi setup:

The only time Jason Mallory tapped me was with this choke, it's nasty! :)
ugh things like that i dont understand how is a triangle or that choke safer than doing a gogoplata in bjj its illegal until your like a purple belt or something idk

Well "the douchebag" is taken and while "the nutcracker" isn't a bad name, it does seem to deserve a name more congruent with the level of "Fuck you. Submit dammit." contained in this choke. I'm gonna take Mallory's word for it that the pressure can be controlled (from the pics on his link it looks like as long as you have that left leg posted out properly and your on your head you have a solid enough base to control the pressure.) but it sure does look like you could be a real bastard about it if you wanted to be. At any rate, I wouldn't just try it on somebody while rolling without Coach Herzog's stamp of approval.Quote:
