Hey guys. Been working on incorporating rubber guard into my game. This morning when I rolled I tried to go for a gogo plata straight from mission control (forgot to transition to Newyork to trap his arm) and the guy I was rolling with basically ankle locked my foot as I brought it in front of his face. What are the key points I need to remember not to F this up next time? Thanks for your advice!
The scenario you described is in no way a gogo. You pretty much just opened your guard too high. Learn the path and focus on controlling the positions. You were thinking bout the sub waaaay too early.

Got it, so I guess I should just focus on control first, hot to gung-ho and skipped a few steps. So to clarify, it should go Mission control> Newyork(arm trapped)> then try for the sub? Or? Sorry, still a noob to this position!
Ah, gotcha. I'll focus on the transition from Mission control to Newyork for now until that's solid and work from there. Thanks for the suggestions and advice guys!

Already been said but you absolutely need that arm trapped. Really focus on getting through the basic path and instead of transition to Jiu Claw go to gogo off the kung fu or transition to the gogo clinch then go for the gogo.
