You need a graphics program. There is a pretty good free one at Pain.net.
you can use paint too
Paste it into ppt. Crop it n resize it. Check the dimensions by rt clicking n selecting properties. Compress it too
some times you don't have the resources to re-size a image
a few online web sites have image resizing for just this reason
http://www.shrinkpictures.com/
most message boards format the avatar to their size.. some don't. 0_o
danny, i also suggest you use paint
Can you just drop a pick into photoshop and resize it there?
the easiest way to do this is to put it in Photoshop, click on "Image" then go to "image size" change it to 100x100. then go to "file" and go to "save for web and devices". then use that image. If you cant figure it out send me the file, i'll convert it and send it back to you.
so is scatlovers.comQuote:
That's a pretty cool site.
http://www.pixlr.com/
kinda like online photoshop..
but nothing beats a $800 pirated copy of adobe photoshop.
Denny, what pic are you trying to resize? Ill give it a shot
You could use photobucket.com thats what I use. its fast and easy to use.
I use photobucket to resize my photos. Obviously photoshop is going to be a better program but if its just for something like your avatar, photobucket works just fine
The easiest way is PAINT. Computers come with it. Just open the file in paint and resize it.
If you use a Mac...I just drag the photo I wanna use to the desktop and click on it. A window will pop up with the photo. Go to the Tools tab and click resize photo and you will be able to adjust it from there.
Yo Denny http://www.shrinkpictures.com/ will sort you put quick smart enjoy
Back in the day when I was using windows (loooooong time ago) I used a small program called "IrfanView". It's a nice little app for image manipulation. Resizing one or a group of pictures is done in seconds.
Mac: Automator, Preview or PhotoShop
Linux/BSD: Gimp (available on the other plattforms as well)
this shoud be a sticky
by the way its Denny not Danny, just sayin
thank you very much everyone for your help. I used http://www.shrinkpictures.com/
tinypic.com is really easy to resize pictures on.
Photoshop or any such graphics-oriented app would work. Paint is not as accurate/provides enough pixelation. Photoshop, Power Point, Viso, Microsoft Publisher are all viable and decent and fairly easily available and easy to use. Hope that helps Denny.
