Videos of 1st No Gi Tournament! REVIEW PLEASE:-)

Hey Everyone,

I competed in my first No Gi event on the weekend in Perth, Western Australia and took out both my weight division and open division, I have competed before in the Gi but this was my first No Gi tournament. I have attached links to my 4 Fights and would appreciate very much any comments/cretiques of my game particularly my half guard. I won 2 fights via submission and 2 via points. As I don't have a local 10th Planet School near me I am pretty much self taught with assistance from MTS and Submissions 101 etc. so any feedback from 10th Planet heads with more knowledge (pretty much everyone) would be greatly appreciated!

Nice work man. You dominated the two guys you subbed. The only thing I could possibly criticize is when you swept the guy in the second video with the electric chair you passed with your outside leg and that got you caught in his half guard. Whenever you pass from the electric chair make sure you pass with your inside leg first (either by crossing them or back stepping) so that you don't get stuck there. I'm not a huge half guard guy so someone else might have better insight into this.

Thanks Sam for the feedback! I will drill that position tonight! I was my weak side and the EC was very sloppy something I hope to improve, it is usually my go to move but the month leading up to the comp I was focusing on other aspects of my game and it shows in the fight. Thanks again for taking the time to watch and give your advice mate!

Nice last second sweep in that one finals match. Definitely learn the different Stomp and God Father variations for those guy that put all their efforts into not letting you get double under hooks.

Thanks Sean! I will look through MTS for the aforementioned variations and incorporate them into my game because it was annoying and tiring fighting for the double unders constantly, he wasnt trying to do anything else either just hold on to me.
