the funk is mad legit

This article is amazing. All the time you see good wrestlers who are physically gifted and technically solid, but lack that "edge" to thier game that holds them back against other good wrestlers. That "edge" is "funk". I LOVE taking my knowledge of wrestling and applying it to other aspects of BJJ, particularily half guard and side control sweeps. Its starting to come along for me here, but thats only cuz I have some experience in it. the biggest figure to "funk" is simply mat time! Years of knowing what your body will do when put in such a location in conjunction to your opponent, whether or not your coach teaches you a certain set of moves or even basic philosophies!
