They either need to make all soccer kicks legal or none at all. I can't believe this is even happening. Who thought this was a good idea?

This is legal though apparently. Because the stunned fighter held on for a couple seconds?
Again, it's the responsibility of the ref to protect the fighters. Fighters are full of adrenaline and instinct. Refs are supposed to be the objective ones. It's a stupid rule. Arlovski won. And if you saw the whole fight, Sylvia has a lot of balls to even say ANYTHING to Arlovski in his ear after the fight. Arlovski's body language was killing me. He's like "I will knock you tf out again! leave me alone!"
Props to Arlovski. It's a BS decision and the fans know it.
Ironically if you watch Tim on the MMA hour with Ariel Helwani he was saying he was going to soccer sick Arlovski after dropping , and saying he'd enjoy it. NC but thats karma and we all know who won that fight lol.
Rematch?
there might be a rematch Arlovski was supposed to fight Soa the hulk but ONE FC tried to make him sign a 3 fight deal, which he refused as his looking to get into the UFC sooner than that. I believe that silvia signed the deal so his there for a few.
bad decision aside, that was the best fight they've ever had together
they went at it and both of them ate vicious power shots for 2 rounds until the amazing finish
Not a Garbage call... but a Garbage rule. Rules are not supposed to be speculatory, they are FUCKING CUT AND DRY! If a move is legal, then its legal. In what situation can in any sport change its rule in the heat of the moment. Thats the rough equivalent of telling a quarterback that he cant throw a deep pass because the other team blitzed.
Not ref's fault though, they have to use the retarded rule.
also, the soccer kicks landed on Sylvia's chest. Is a soccer kick legal in mma if it does not hit the head? I actually never heard the full description of when a shot is considered illegal other than the head vs body.
