Brother you remember that Japanese necktie video you made like 18+ months ago? That was my shit for ages. I watched that video like 100 times. :-)
Thanks for this Sean. This is awesome. :-)

I had to limp into work after watching these videos.

Excellent stuff!!!! Could this stuff be added to the technique list even though its not from MTS?

Would you guys like to see more longer series like "The Week in Roc" or more one shot techniques?

For me singles are better. Mainly because I can just stick the videos I really like and will inject into my game into an easy little playlist. Plus its a time thing too. Haven't always got 20 mins or so to watch a longer video. Often I think to myself 'I will watch that later when I get the time' but end up forgetting. Whereas 2-5 minute tech videos I will just watch, even if pretty busy.
Maybe do a 'technique of the week' type thing? That would be cool. :-)

Lock the thread so it stays on the first page

I vote for "The week in Roc"!!! I learn much more! Nobody else on the web is doing a free series. Its frigging GOLD! I understand what Sam is saying, but everybody can find time if they really want too!

Personally I prefer the longer series

Hey Zog on the 50/50 counter video, the Calf Crush/Knee Compression section, is it possible to force that or is it better to wait for them to roll? I was taught that trying to roll when in the 50/50 is a good way break your leg on your own. So I was just wondering if someone refused to roll if you could still get the submission.

If they don't roll(Cork Screw Escape/Or as Eddie calls it "The Manny Escape" on a episode of MTS) they will get heel hooked. I disagree that rolling out of a 50/50 will break your own leg. I don't see a need to force it, the heel hook is a way higher percentage finish.

I was lied to (about breaking your leg)! Ok I was just thinking in terms of tournament rules when the heel hooks aren't allowed but knee compressions are. Seems like there are plenty of attacks regardless

However you could cause serious damage if you tried to spin out of a straight ankle lock, that is a no no. Maybe that was what he was refering to?
-
longer series please. if I have to devote a month of class to working one video, that is totally cool.

Both would be great, but if I were forced to choose, I'd pick TWIR. It's like getting free seminar material. It's fantastic. On the other hand, people are very into instant gratification on the Internet (which is why most people fast forward through porn), so maybe do a whole series but break it into separate videos so its the best of both worlds.

My leglock IQ is handicapped low so there's a good possibility that is what he meant but I misunderstood.
-
Personally, I like the longer videos. It gives you time to flesh out an idea.
-

-
TWIR, hands down! I really appreciate how you go into the further transitions available and a few counters and re-counters that are available in the longer videos. The judo side control and cobra choke series have been my favorite so far.

Nice. Bunch of stuff I was working on at some point and forgot about or put it on the shelf and forgot to go back to it.

I think I'm doing something wrong with the choke from the Cobra Command series. Gotta break it down cause I'm able to get there regularly just cant get the tap. Any tips Zog?

Added to the technique guide.

Make sure you are keep the "straight" arm actually straight, a common mistake is to bend it when the other arm scissors.
