Thought I would share this

Good friend of mine recently started teaching at a middle school that has some very at risk students, lower income teens. He wanted to do something for them to add some value to life, he decided to start a Jiu Jitsu group. With in the first couple of days he had 30 kids signed up and ready to roll. The curriculum? No gi, these kids cant afford much for gear etc. Even those Chad himself is a Gi trained student, he wanted to teach these kids jiu jitsu and gi or no gi it made no difference.

That is really cool. I'm a teacher as well and I taught a jiu jitsu class to some of my students in the past. I'd probably be teaching it still, but our space got moved and we were unable to find a new one. Hopefully I can get something started back up again.

Where is the gym located.. I'd love to drop in sometime.

that's beautiful man. I'd love to acomplish something similar one day.

It's stories like this that make me want to become a teacher..
