North/South Counter to Jailbreak

When attempting the jailbreak escape from bottom side control, my opponents are moving to north/south position. I'm using the hand that should be blocking the hips to grab my foot. Any tips on this or is this move limited to a small window of opportunity? Thanks.

You could use your overhook arm to grab the foot and guide it. That way you don't lose the blocked hip. My other alternative is use the knee blocking the hip to push it up into place. Slightly turning into him to help shove it through. That's what I have used hope that helps.
