Yes i taught her the hip bump to triangle way before we found the rubber guard...:) She uses it here and there. Nowadays, she doesn't hip bump that much because she wants them in her rubber guard instead. At times when she can't really break their posture down, she would hip bump. We been working on the hip bump to the kimura also.
good combo, and great when you cant break posture
Very nice
Great job. I'm glad she liked the shirt. She looks tough as nails :) The hard work will pay off Cora!!
Bookmarking. I show a lot of Cora's videos to my two daughters to try to keep them motivated. (They love 10PJJ so I don't need to motivate them really). Our club is basically adults and teens only for the most part, so my girls basically work together all the time and don't get much actual rolling in. It's mostly repping they do, so I like to show them Cora's videos so they can see how intense the techniques are against a resisting opponent.
Awesome! Keep up the great work!
Awsome, double bag all day.
Dont forget to hook the leg on the arm bar.
Keep up the great work, your a good dad to take so much time to help her. I train with my kids twice a week. They 12 and 9, both boys. They often get lazy , working with your own children can sometimes be a challenge.
absolutely awesome
THank you so much guys, yes we will continue to work hard. Actually its now has transformed itself from a hobby to a lifestyle now, not just for Cora, but for our entire family. We are so into this like no one's business. We basically eat, sleep, jj. When my wife and I are at work, there isn't a day that we don't think about JJ. Everyday, I'm always trying to find ways to be a better coach to Cora and try to find ways for her to understand the technique in a more effiecent way. Although I'm not physical able to do the sport, I still love the sport and is a student of the sport so I can be a better coach for my daughter and my son when he is old enough. He is only 1 right now...:)
Kurzy: thank you brother for the kind words, you know Cora do read all that yall are saying about her and it helps fuel her training even more. To intertain and to inspire other girls is what she's all about. It isn't for the medals or ego for her, its about sharing. You should see her at the gym always willing to help the new kids out. Since she is very technical, the coach ask her to be his assist when there are not enough coaches around. As far as active resistence to the rubber guard, oh the boys here are resisting her alright, being held down by a girl doesn't look good infront of their parents so they have to put up a fight. And now I see, the more they resist her, the better she get.
Dwight: yes brother, working with your kids is very hard, especially when I don't have COACH written on my forehead. Its hard to separate being a dad and a coach at times. For those of you who train your kids, you know what i'm talking about. I would tell her things and she doesn't listen to me, but an hour later when she get to the gym, her coach tell her the exact same thing, and she treats it like it was the 1st time she heard it and its the most profound thing she ever heard...:)
