Warmup series F is gonna have 'em destroying my lockdown, that 'll force me to evolve.
Lovin' the warmups, and the more i learn, the more i'm sure that this is the system for me. This is definitely my game.
Btw, Michael Jai White on Eddie Bravo Radio tonight. That guy is the real deal!
I have to rape myself for not reading this thread earlier
This is pure gold!
6 of the 8 warm up series have been video taped, 2 more to go. Once they are done each one will be uploaded to YouTube. Any drop ins to HQ will have to study the warm up video for the night or nights they will be attending. There will be little if any teaching of the warm ups, you will have to know them. If you don't know them you will sit out the warm ups and join the class once the lesson of the day starts. Memorizing the warm ups like kata and eliminating the need to teach them will insure we are getting a healthy dose of the basics every class without sacrificing what we have been doing since 2003, take our submission set ups & squeezes to the highest possible levels :-)
all taped, now i gotta upload :)
Thank you Eddie. Thats how we roll!
I've said this before. ALL my guys have improved so much over the last 12 months due to these drills. Period!
got them all uploaded to my hard drive, now I gotta edit and polish. When they are done, all moon heads that will jump on this 2 week cycle will be able to use these videos.
There is no teaching in these videos, just the drills the way they are supposed to look during the actual warm up period. Anytime an out of towner or drop in wants to jump into a class he will get emailed the links to the warm ups for the day or days he will attend.
There will be no teaching or very little teaching during the warm ups, students are required to memorize them and they will also have access to the videos to review.
Remember guys, I designed this so that we can squeeze the maximum amount of drilling into each and every class. The warm ups should be hammered out in no longer than 15 minutes. That will leave 45 minutes for the lesson of the day.
If I have to teach these warm ups every class we will never get to our squeezes :)
I'm ready for this!
I just finished taking notes on Series D: Standing vs Sitting Transitions.
And I was thinking how nicely the Torreando Pass would fit in with this series of warm ups.
(Torreando/Matador/Bullfighter)
I also like to get reps in with the Leg Drag Position when drilling this series.
Opinions?
Coming soon, Eddie?
Almost done, coming soon :)
Thank you for this Aron. Going to check out the shrimping one now.
