And #2 iz of the utmost importance.
I'm thoroughly convinced that Eddie's recipe should be prepared at least twice daily (or 4x per day if you're single and under 35).
But, as far as the other type of juicing, I like to keep it pretty light on the sugary stuff:
1) A big handful of spinach
2) A few big kale leafs
3) the juice of one lime
4) one half cucumber
5) a little chunk of fresh ginger
This plus about 6 or 8 black coffees can get me through the day plus training so that I only have to eat one real meal per day.
6 oranges
Small hunk of fresh ginger root
Few drops of oil of oregano
Sprinkle of cayenne pepper to taste (some like it hot)
Excellent juice for energy, antioxidants and helps with allergies
Gracias guys, I really appreciate all the recipes.
Quick add on question, anybody know the best ingredients relative to bringing down or helping with inflammation?
i generally stick to green mean or variations of it. joe cross has good books on juicing and juice recipes
For inflammation, I suggest pineapple as it contains bromelain, which is an enzyme in pineapple that can help with inflammation. Also recommend tart cherry juice (must be tart cherry), as it contains enzymes that help with inflammation. Tumeric is also great for inflammation. In addition to what you should be easting to help with inflammation, reducing/eliminating things that can promote inflammation can be useful. Things like refined sugar and processed food should be eliminated.
For me, I take 2 tart cherry supplement pills everyday as well as a supplement that contains curcumin (a principle compound of tumeric) and will take bromelain when needed. I found this to really help with keeping inflammation down for me.
My family loves smoothies. We mix both fruits and vegetables, everything we have in the refrigerator.
I can't imagine how we used to live without smoothies. Since we bought a cool blender (you can see it here https://ianboer.com.au/beverage/), we make smoothies every day. Our guests already know that if they come to us, they will get their smoothies. We'll be making smoothie parties soon. My favorite juice recipe is: strawberry, banana, apple, oatmeal, flax seeds, chia seeds, honey, and some water or yogurt. Sometimes we use stevia instead of sugar. But the fruit is so sweet that no sweetener is needed. It is very useful and caloric that we can drink this juice instead of breakfast.
