Definitely seemed like dude was sandbagging. Lol
I'll second what's aready been said. There's no shame losing to Craig. I've rolled with him, he's a monster. As far as previous experience I honestly don't think he has any wrestling he's just STRONG AS SHIT. He's a cool dude tho.
And as far as winning expert comps, he's the type of guy who will enter every division they allow him to. But he's ranked as a 1 stripe blue belt. He got triangled in the blue belt in the Gi this past weekend if it makes you feel better.
Hmmmmmm I dunno anything about him, so perhaps you're right. But he was moving around like he had some wrestling experience on day one. Was pulling off a lot of double legs too. Definitely strong. Definitely not a 1 stripe blue belt though. And if he's winning naga experts, I am gonna have to assume he has more than 2 years of experience. But hey, he found my weak area and tapped me. And IF he was indeed sandbagging (like I said, I don't know), he certainly isn't the first or last. Definitely a lot of that going on at blue belt, and it's something I'm gonna have to get good enough to overcome.
Either way, it was good to get at least one win though.
Back to the drawing board.
Do they do the NoGi based off belt color or years of experience? As a newer blue belt it drives me crazy how different comps distinguish differently.
Blue belt nogi was defined as 1-2 years on the registration and purple belt was defined as 3-4 years. So if one were to fall between 2-3, they would be in the blue belt. That's my understanding of it
That's cool
Yeah the dick everyones reffering to lost in the gi on saturday and started kicking chairs and throwing a fit litteraly like a small child... Then when he won the blue belt nogi division by blowing some kids ankle he did a backhandspring and started yelling and throwing his arms up like he won ADCC, gave no fucks that he just wrecked someones ankle... Clearly had wrestling experience but is a bluebelt in rank so who knows, def a cock though. Hope I get to run into him when I move up to 170....
Yea he won the 185/205 blue belt, lost my division to the tall lanky guy. Tall lanky guy was really good and super nice.
Ross, where can I see this kneebar?
