Congrats man. My Hayabusa belt stays pretty tight. It's thick but very flexible and soft

The 'super lock' as Rener calls it in that vid never comes undone regardless of belt in my experience. You then have the hassle though of your Gi coming out and having to try to tuck it back in which in it's self sucks if your sparring and rolling a lot of different peeps.

Flow hemp is the best. You have to break it in but it's very nice.
