1 week from today I will be under the lights and in front of the crowd. I love that feeling walking down the runway to the ring. There is nothing like it in the world.
I'm down to my last couple days of hard sparing, then it's all cardio and the last 4 pounds to cut. I'm in the zone right now and feel good.
Was in my 3rd round of hard sparing with my dad. ( I love working with him because he pushs me harder then anyone. But he doesn't have to talk for me to know what he wants. He will raise his elbow a little and I know its his hint that he wants me to blast a round kick under it, or he will change direction to make me cut the cage off on him. It's this jedi father/son thing we got going) He has been wearing body pads for 6 months or so now, when I'm going all out. He says I have gotten to strong and he's gotten to old and fragel to take unprotected shots anymore.lol.
I have been working on making whoever I'm fighting roll off the cage in the direction I want and catching them with a spinning back kick to the liver as they step right into it. My dad has seen it a ton of times (He tought me it.lol) Well I took it higher because I heard the kid I'm fighting is alot shorter then me. So thought I would work on putting it wear the kids grill will be.lol. My dad had his liver protected......Not his ribs. Landed just under the armpit and dropped him. I freaked at first until he rolled over and 1/2 laughed, 1/2 moaned in pain. "That was awesome !!!!!" I told him I was sorry...... He said for what, he has never been so proud.lol.
He got up said don't let it go to my head because he can still smash me, and we did 3 more rounds. He got checked out when we were done, and he's got 2 cracked ribs. Only thing he said was."like I told you a miilion times, If you pull the trigger with the kids you fight like you do me....your unstopable. It's all about confidence." He may have added once again, don't let it go to my head because he will knock me out anytime I put in the request.lol. No need, I know he can.
He's taped up and moving a little slow right now. Lets hope I'm this sharp come next Saturday.
On a side note, Hugo 99 Problems was cracked up in the gym when I landed it. So right now it's looking strong for the new walkout song

Always train with purpose and fight with passion . Don't be afraid to dream big, but have the balls to make your dreams come true.
