Dan Henderson waits 3 weeks before deciding to pull out of UFC 151

I dont think it hurts Hendo's stock too much but the whole situation could have been avoided. The fact of the matter is, it did happen and Im sure Jones lost a lot of fans after this one. On top of pissing off the big bosses.

Not too sure that it would avoid anything, if you think about it. That just means Jones would've looked like an idiot for ducking a 3 week prepared Chael. LOL. 8 days or 3 weeks, I still think the outcome would've been the same from Jones. I guess it could've helped avoid chaos. And it could've given Chael 3 weeks to talk trash. But I don't think they would've been able to convince Jones to take anyone.

Have you guys thought that Dan might have not made his injury public, or available to UFC or Jon Jones because he may have been thinking that he was gonna fight while injured? Maybe he did not want jones to target his bad knee throughout the fight? Maybe he is a man and if at all possible he would not pull out of a fight, unlike morally useless Jones who would get an F rating on being a man?
Are you guys so delusional that you think all fighters make all their injurys public to their opponents? Do you think they immediately pull out of fights as soon as there is an injury and especially 3 weeks before a fight where there is chance that things may get better?

This sport is built on the shoulders of guys like Liddell, Couture, Henderson, Fedor, Gracie, Severn and yes even Abbot and Shamrock (who may bitch a lot but will fight till the last drop of his blood). This whole I hurt my fingernail I must pull out of a fight, oh I am sorry I had a full training camp and I am twice the size of my opponent and 10 years younger than him but my fight camp was not exactly designed for this guy so I can't fight bullshit.

A torn MCL is a little bit more than a broken fingernail. It should have been obvious within a couple days if it would just get better. Or if he could even hide the fact that it was injured enough to even fight.

Hey guys, if all my speculation and assumptions are true, then that makes Jones less of a man than me, and Henderson chuck norris 2.0!
What if's, should not lead you into conclusions.
You wanna get upset about people assuming Hendo was being irresponsible without knowing all the facts about his injury, then fine, have at it.
But don't in the same post make an assumption about him being amazing, and then act like it's fact whilst shit talking Jones.
It makes you EXACTLY like those people going after Henderson for not revealing his injury sooner.


Should Henderson of disclosed his injury sooner?
Yes.
Should Jones of taken the fight with Chael?
If he saw fit to.
Should Machida or Shogun taken the fight with Jones?
If they saw fit to.

Should Dana have canceled an entire card because of one fight in it falling through?
No.
Because it shows that he had made a thin card with nothing of value on it, aside from the main event.
Fights we shell out cash for, need to have 2 main even fights, so that the UFC has something to fall back on if one falls through.

Dan should of been more honest with his injury, but at the same time he isn't responsible for anyone but himself, as is Jones, and Dana canceled that card on his own whim.
He's got all the die hard UFC fans convinced that Jones is solely to blame for it, and throwing all the blame away from himself.


He's been bitching about online streaming for so long, so these thin cards are his way of saying "hey, if you don't pay for my shit, the big names aren't going to fight as often" and all it does is damage the careers of the undercard fighters.

And of course, none of them want to openly speak against Dana, because he can change 3 bad fights in a row to two, or even one, and cut them loose.

You know what, go to any fighter amateur, pro doesn't matter and tell him that as soon as he is hurt before a fight, he must disclose his injury to the promotion which will immediately tell his opponent the same thing. They are going to laugh at you.

At some point Rampage was complaining how snitches were telling his opponents about his injury even though he was not planning to pull out of a fight and he fought with them.

I may be defending the true warriors of this sport from a subjective point of view, but you guys must also accept that you are on the Jon Jones ballsack polishing wagon. The guy does not give rats ass about anything. He does not value other people's lives, he does not value his own friends and sells them out in the first opportunity he gets, he makes fake comments, fakes out caring motions towards his opponents like he is a gentlemen in fake attempt of sportsmanship, contradicts him self every other turn and you guys are like yeah he is right let him make his money and act this way cause I saw him jump over Ryan Bader on the ground in a cool way and i have been a fan ever since.......It's like people with $5 in their pocket and $50k in debt who are losing their homes and cars to large corporations and banks defending Capitalism more than the banks which are taking their life away.
