Shinya Aoki submits another opponent in MMA!

IMO, the reason why Aoki is the big fish in the little pond is because he doesn't round out. Like, in my theory, the best guys are guys who have a specialty, but they are rounded out. Vinny Magalhaes, for example, learned the striking game. Not so he can be a striker, but so he can understand it enough to defend properly (for example). Aoki doesn't seem to have done the same. So until he rounds out his skill set enough to defend his weakness, he'll always be the big fish in a little pond. And he'll still be fun to watch.

Absolutely fun to watch. I would have loved to see him do well in Strikeforce and later on the UFC but his opponents were smart enough to stay on the feet where, like you said, he is lacking skills.
