My .02 is that he was trained in firearms. The average joe would have looked at the weapon, he just racked the slide and attempted to shoot again. Looks like he tried to shoot 3 times, then was tackled. Point blank twice, he wasn't leaving poor aim to chance.
I just wonder how he got so close so quickly without any security interuption, he had made two attempts before you even see someone on screen. THe victim didn't even really react other than to shrug and duck.

Epic fail. Not one person knew any jiu-jitsu, they just all randomly pound this "trained" assassin. Epic fail all the way around, I couldn't write a script that looked goofier than all that.
