More importanly Judo has become obsolete in Judo. It completely disgusts me to read what has happen to the rules and where the sport is moving to. The art and science of Judo is beautiful and amazing, the sport of Judo has become pathetic.

The new ijf rules are disgusting. I watched numerous guys lose to lesser grapplers at a recent national qualifier, due to restrictions on leg grabs. Or a buildup of shidos from gripping infractions.

Sambo all day. Still my main grappling style.

Blackbelt in judo take 2-4 years? my dad did it for 3-4 years and he was brown, maybe cause you have to be over a certain age to get the black. Seems like some other more traditional japanese arts. You get to black faster because there are only 4-6 belts but then you get dan rankings after that.
