    Any x-guard assassins out there?

Do any of you use the x-guard? It seems like I really don't see a lot of the 10p players using it in comp.

I use it a ton though. Just curious.

Yes. I use it a lot. I use it a lot in no-gi because the DLR is so much harder to play without the gi and the x guard is great for controlling the distance. Both regular x and 1 leg x.

If you want to see a good person besides Marcelo use the x guard check out Darragh O'Connaill from Ireland. He was in the BJJ Kumite and is a ridiculous brown belt. he basically plays Marcelo's entire game, and gets a ton of guillotines and north south chokes even in the gi. His x guard stuff is great.

Yup. I need to start trying to put x-guard in my game since is use so many leg attacks. It's a good position to use outside your weight class also. Works great on the big guys, kinda like deep-half. This thread just made me wanna rep some x-guard. Barncat, lets go do some x-guard drills today.. ?...

Yes sir it is. I really like Xguard. I only have one good sweep from there so I still have a lot of development but I like it.

x guard is very usefull in my case after a serpent guard or single x. also from deep half guard. But to try it from nowhere it can be difficult.
