First Logeoplata finish in competition today!!!

I just wanted to share this video with everybody! I got my first Logeoplata finish in an actual competition today against MMA fighter Zach Prager! It was awesome to finally catch this technique in competition and it further legitimizes its effectiveness in my mind!

My rubber guard still has a long ways to go but it's a work in progress!

Good work. I use that all the time, never knew it had a name. Definatly legit. I never read the threads when the name came up. Guess I should do better at staying up with the times. I first had that used on me ,on one of my first days in class, by a no-gi MMA fighter during and open roll, back in about '02. I've been doing it ever since. I always just refered to it as a gogoplata, even though it was slightly different. I almost had it in my last sub only comp, but was too tired to finish it. Sometimes easier and faster than grabbing your toes. I was also using it in the gi by using the far lapel and my shin to cut off blood. Does that have a different name? Again, great finish.

It might have a different name, it certainly is a logical place to go from the gogo in my opinion so I'm not surprised that others came up with it before I did! Once I started hitting it in the gym a lot my teammates kind of dubbed it that because The Loge is my nickname. After that I made a quick demo video of it and posted on here and on the underground asking if anyone had a name for the move and if they had seen it before. The general consensus was that most had never seen it and the couple people that had didn't have a name for it. I'm certainly not trying to step on any toes with the name though! I just like the technique!
