Yeah was thinking that it would be very unlikely given that and previous notable wins! Lol.
All the best for it by the way man!

I suck at 50/50, traditional heel hooks and I'm a white belt at knee bars. So I'm not sure what you'd call me, a calf cranker??

I think Gokor, Erik Paulson and Herzog are all outstanding leg lockers and teachers. There are obviously a whole bunch of leg lock masters out there but these 3 are ones I know for sure know their shit
Yeah, i know you're not known for going after the legs, and of course i agree with the leg locks not being 100% adrenaline proof, as experienced by myself several times. It's just something about them that appeal to me, love me some leg locks now and then, although i recognize the risk! Anyway, thanks for the cool answer, being a Calf Cranker sounds awesome, so yea, ill go with that!

And last, i of course have tons of Paulsen material for study also, great stuff. Been following the videos of Herzog and Imanari as well, so guess im covered then, hehe.

Good luck on the Royler rematch btw, was planning to make the trip to see it live, but it didn't work out financially this time. ill have to settle for the next best thing, the live stream! Cant wait for it, were all rooting for you back here in Bergen, Norway!! 10P4L

Okay, here's the shot out of the cannon: Oprah, Barbara Walters, your wife. You gotta fuck one, marry one, kill one, go!

Eddie, first of all, thank you so much for standing up for the idea of pure no-gi training all these years.

I don't know if you realize how much it has meant for all the pure no-gi guys such as myself and my brother all these years. For a LONG time us pure no-gi guys were taking a huge beating on the forums. Guys used to publicly dismiss us by saying that we would never get better than a mediocre gi purple belt if we stayed pure no-gi. You stuck to your guns and were always one of the VERY few visible and outspoken proponents of pure no-gi training that we could point to.

We are TRULY grateful for everything you have done for all of us 100% no-gi guys.

Okay, now on to questions: What are your feelings on the Gracie Nationals rule set discouraging the flying guard pull?
