What exactly is different? Is it the position of the gable grip and the direction and angle of the crank?

The idea is that if your taking it from Head to head you use a gable grip and position ur hands close to the opponents chest, that way he/she feels no pressure and u can sink it up from there.. it goes from gable grip to then squeezing like ur forearms together like a Japanese. ( the key is to never loose the left elbow, keep that elbow against ur body at all times)

from the bottom, it works as ur opponent feels safe enough and then bang, you get ur hands together (gable) and then again turn your body and squeeze your elbows together like a Japanese and use your chest / stomach to trap the head in as well.

    hope that makes sense.

Yes Eddie, the position of the gable grip and angle of the crank comes into play, the fact that you can do a japanese from your back and not have to be on top as in most cases......might have to break it up a lil more and show more angles if not. lol

Josh caught me in this twice the morning he filmed it as I was passing from half guard. The first time I didn't have any idea it was coming until I was tapping, the second time I was saved by getting my hand smashed by his hip, ha.
    I also coined the name!

OK this will fit into my game nicely if I can work it properly. The guys at our club are onto me, with my vicegrips.
They know i am going for JNT/Darce or Anaconda.

Some of the higher belts are rolling, causing me to roll just like an Omoplata roll, and I end up on my back, still with the grips, in essentially the perfect position to try this ANT.
So I will give this a shot and see if i can incorporate it. Thanks for sharing!
