The Marlin Stainless Guide Gun is chambered in 45-70 Gov. and I would use us almost exclusively for Bear hunting. We run bears with dogs, through swamps and thick bush, so I want a rugged stainless gun that can take a shit kicking and not rust out.

Yeah you need the SBR tax stamp for it and to be in a State that actually recognizes and honors the 2A right to bear arms "Shall not be infringed" statement.

In Canada, handguns are in what we call a restricted class, so we need a restricted license to own one, but adding a RONI kit doesn't change it's classification so SBR doesn't apply to Canadians.


In Canada the mag capacitiy limits are 10 in handguns and 5 in long guns, unless they are .22 or less.
If there was no bullshit laws to worry about, I would own a G-18 with 33 round mags.

Lots of gun "laws" are kinda forgotten about in Texas... Ahem.

At least certain parts of Texas.. If you live in Houston or Dallas or other big cites I'm sure it's more stringent. But here in the country, own what guns you want, small town gun shows and flea markets can often be found an "illegal" gun. And if your into the gun scene and in the loop, you know where all the little illegal guns are, such as SBR's and "full auto" ruger 10/22's... I personally don't own anything illegal, but I know lots of folks that do..
