    In and of themselves, belt rankings are meaningless. The profound knowledge of intricate techniques which belts represent.... that is the worthwhile thing. Ask yourself why you want to do jiujitsu. If the answer is that you want to tell your friends that you're a 'black belt' in 10th Planet, then you think with some kind of cosmology that I reject outright.

    Pay $5/month here. Study the techniques. Think about them. Practice them. Attempt to apply them in training at a 10th Planet, or any other, gym. Attempt to apply them in local competitions. Belts will come (or they won't), but more importantly you will grow as an individual both physically and mentally.
