is ebi geared towards the masses?

I know Eddie talked about how he wants it to be televised and for it to be for a broader audience. Maybe this has been pointed out before, but I think if ebi were to be successful enough to be on tv, they would have to take a page from wwe and start profiling the competitors. The ufc and Metamoris have done it with their countdown episodes. People want to root for something.

The matches themselves are highly entertaining, but to take it to the next level. ..

Just a thought.

Solid idea for sure. Release a promo, have pre fight stats. I'm sure its all in the works, but if not would be great to see!

I'd watch a countdown type show. They did do some highlight reels of competitor before the first EBI

Yeah, there are just so many competitors, so I wonder how it could be done realistically.

But Eddie was talking about super fights in the upcoming ebi, maybe a promo vid for those competitors? Anyways, I just want to see ebi succeed.

I think countdown videos would be awesome and would definitely be a good idea.

I also think that having a more traditional BJJ guy might be a cool addition in the commentary team, one of the things many people were complaining about on Sherdog was that they didn't understand the 10th Planet terminology. A bunch of people (including myself) were very confused when we saw Nathan winning by "Dead Orchard". I know the whole Jiu Jitsu community is stoked for this event and I think having a regular BJJ guy to ask a 10th Planet dude whats going on would be a good way to help the rest of the BJJ world understand what the objectives of the more 10th Planet system specific moves/positions.
