That sounds like a fun format.

    Tournament Rules

Round Robin format will guarantee all competitors a minimum of 4-5 matches.
Each match will consist of one 4 minute running time round. Finals will be scheduled for 5 minutes with overtime possibilities.
Submit your opponent and be awarded 2 points.
Draw your opponent and be awarded 1 point.
Get submitted by your opponent and receive 0 points.
Competitor with most points in each round (including ties) moves on to next round robin.
Each division will consist of brackets of up to 6 competitors. (ie. There is 17 competitors in a bracket you would have 2 groups of 6 competitors and one group of 5 competitors).
The winner of each group (including ties) moves on to the next round robin. In the case above of division of 17 there would be 3 winners plus ties moving on to the final round robin.
Winner of the final round robin group is crowned champion. If there is a tie it goes to a sudden death match consisting one 5 minute round. If that round ends in a draw a coin toss is done and the winner picks a position to start (ie: back control hooks in) and a 1 minute round takes place. If that round is a draw the competitors switch roles each minute until one is submitted.

The matches are short, but I like the round robin and sub-only aspects, with OT rules similar to EBI. And all submissions are legal for intermediate and expert divisions.

Grappling Industries does a round-robin format, too. They'll be in NYC in March.

I like the idea of the sunday roll out. Maybe have a monthly local tourney for all schools. The competitors put $20 down. No medals. Just prize money.
