Granby roll to twister side control.

Has anyone tried it. I used it today over and over again. It worked like magic. I would say its an awesome and unexpected way to get someone off your back and into twister side control.

and turn it into twister side control.
or did I just get lucky?

Yes, I have a few guys that have used it, mostly from standing. Great technique.

A buddy of mine trained at the Granby school. He showed me this and a bunch of other crazy techniques. The hard part is rewiring your brain to not pull guard when somebody hits that position on you.

Say you Post with one leg and cross through the opening with your other while holding the top position. You can achieve a side mount and go on with twister side. or thats how I did it. but I have a lot of weight on me.
