He exploited the habit of reaching for the head. He shucked the first one and timed the second. It's the same mechanics as the flying armbar from stand without having to clench.

If I'm on my feet and you reach for my head, it's a race to get my nuts to your armpit. Whether your standing or seated only changes the entry and not the objective.

It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Davi has came to my gym multiple times for a week seminar so I have trained with him a lot. He is definitely the most underrated grappler on the scene right now. No one gave him a chance. I am glad he was able to go out there and prove everyone wrong.
