    Consciousness

"The universe begins to look more like a great thought than a great machine."
    Sir James Hopwood Jeans

We urgently need to carry out research into the function and operation of the consciousness. It seems more and more likely that our consciousness creates our reality. I am convinced that faith plays a large role here. I'm not talking specifically about Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, or any other religion. Faith in general.

My faith has convinced me for 10 years that I was in pain, and believe me, I was in pain. My faith was substantiated by science, thereby it was so strong. A rheumatologist explained at the time, after many examinations and tests, after I suddenly experienced an awful lot of pain in the soles of my feet, because of wich i couldn't even get my forklift truck throttle pressed down anymore, that I had rheumatism. Not much later I got the same pain in my hands. The diagnosis "Rheumatism" fit right in the picture. My aunt suffers from it, my grandfather had also since an early age. They prescribed me with analgesic and anti-inflammatory pills. The dosage was initially 10 mg a day and that helped for a while. It was bearable, except when I forgot those pills due to circumstance for a few days. After the diagnosis i kept seeing this rheumatologist monthly for a while. During such visits he would squeeze my hands and feet, to which I said "Aai" (Dutch for Auwtch! ), to which he prescribed pills for a month and made a new appointment. I can squeeze my hands and feet myself and feel if it hurts, so after a few months i got those pills from my regular doctor. Rheumatism works in peaks and with passage of time just worsens, there is nothing to do about that. Over the years and with the comings and goings of peaks, the dosage was pushed up little by little to four times what it was, until even this wasn't enough. My hands and feet were often swollen by the inflammatory fluid around the joints. My fingers were like sausages, multiple people can confirm this. This was one of the reasons that I stopped competing in mma. After my last fight I could hardly move my hands for two weeks. It was getting worse. That is why six months ago I went back to the rheumatologist.

When after 10 years i went back to the same specialist in Izegem, for a heavier pill or treatment that would still work, I found out that he was retired and that I had to go to Roeselare for a rheumatologist. I underwent the same and, curiously enough, even more examinations and tests in Roeselare. During the subsequent consultation I heard the results: I didn't have rheumatism ... "Then what do I have?"."Maybe you're highly sensitive and the pain you're experiencing is neural pain." Rheumatism, I understood. This i didn't. "I'm going to give you a prescription for a different kind of pills, which should help. Gradually stop the old, start the new." Well, let's try that right? After a few weeks I began to feel the side effects of those pills. Fatigue, depressed mood, decreased appetite, insomnia, ... Better read the leaflet, ... Cymbalta, ... anti-depressants, ... Wait, what??? To answer the question why I got prescribed anti-depressants, I was told that I shouldn't stare blind at that, that those pills influence the same region in the brain that is causing the pain. After having done some research in the field of neurology, I've come to the conclusion that they themselves do not know. I have to admit that the pain was reduced a lot after 2 months and that the swelling and inflammation disappeared, but the side effects remained. One day I got an exchange of letters between my doctors that I have opened (that's allowed, it's about me) to read: "...Chronic pain caused by depression blablabla "... Well fuck me running!

My faith didn't agree. It could not be depression. I stopped taking those pills wich I increasingly felt more bad about. I have never believed in pills to treat mental illnesses. If ever I've been depressed, it was during the months that I swallowed those pills. During training your brain releases endorphins that will make you happy. When you listen to certain music, you might start crying. Just a few examples of how a change in consciousness can trigger a physiological change. Why wouldn't we be able to repair a chemical imbalance by using our consciousness? A bricklayer doesn't necessarily know that mass x acceleration = force, yet he strikes the stone to make it descend. That same way I don't know exactly how those chemicals work, let alone the mathematical formula that would explain it all, but I do know that by steering my consciousness through breathing techniques etc. I can reduce the pain and occasionally even make it disappear. The swelling and inflammation remain gone. The energy is in the air we breathe. When you take a very close look at atoms, they don't exist out of matter, but out of vibrating energy. The air we breathe contains mostly oxygen and carbon dioxide. We exhale mostly carbon dioxide. The opposite of photosynthesis. The energy from that oxygen has remained in our body. Nobody knows what we do with it. That energy is the power supply for our consciousness. When we don't get oxygen, we lose consciousness. That same energy is what Nicola Tesla wanted to use to provide free electricity to everyone.

The missing variable in the theory of everything, causing quantum theory and relativity theory to clash and contradict each other, although both are a fact, is consciousness. Consciousness is still not being scientifically examined. Only when we know what that is, how it works and what it does, can we complete the theory. But we don't do that, because it generates more money if people remain ignorant. Why is the placebo effect not being examined? Scientific research into consciousness could mean the next evolutionary step for mankind.

Good that you could stop the pills. If possible I would rather not accept pills that you have to take for the rest of your life. That can't be good.

And I agree with you about the ignorance part and consciousness. The knowledge about it is there, but you have to want to find it yourself. The 'regular' scientists mainly have other goals so it's maybe better not to expect much from them.

Better invest in yoga mat or something instead of pills . I see we're kinda neighbors. Maybe in a couple months i can come train. I'll let you know.

Yes, it would be nice to train with you!

I just saw some mma fights from you with some clear 10th planet techniques and you are a beast. That's a very good accomplishment especially with your medical history.
