jokes are a good thing man, it use to be a lot worse before the rematch. jiu jitsu is an art/science/philosophy of life, and all 3 of those things can be widely interpreted. all artist have to deal with critics, and you know what they say bout critics, they are usually people without vision and/or ability. If all artist listened to their critics then there would be no art. so you have to do what you believe in sometimes no matter what other people might think. you can never succeed in something you don't believe in. the science is just science, it is never exact, but its the closest we can get to finding a lil truth. most jiu jitsu guys understand there is so much to learn that you can never really know it all. that's why you gotta keep an open mind and embrace learning new things even if you may not understand them at first, the philosophy or way of life thing can definitely cause some heated debates from time to time but how you treat people that have different views is more important than the way you treat people with the same mind. There are many things to learn from each other both on and off the mat, can't ever take that for granted. damn this is more than i intended to type...uh.... great episode!!!

I really like the MTS episodes especially because of competition footage, techniques and fun vids being all combined. This time though I got put off quite a bit when I saw the streetfighting as there were no relations being drawn to BJJ and it was just stupid violence. I knew one video from a Gracie breakdown which I found questionable even back then but at least they analyzed and connected it to BJJ. Personally I would have enjoyed that episode much more without seeing idiots that are lacking non violent conflict solving abilities

Jiu Jitsu is about fun, respect, budo, fitness, family and of course self defense. Those fighting videos are crucial to analyze in my opinion. You must be fully aware of how "stupid" violence looks in real life, those videos allow you to see what can actually happen in this crazy world we live in. I learn ALOT from watching these fights, like how important it is to supplement your Jiu Jitsu with striking. Knowing that Jiu Jitsu is not always enough on the streets can save your life. I've had a little striking training and after watching those clips it reminds me that I should eventually get back into it.
