10th Planet Chicago opened up the local competition season with NewBreed Ultimate Challenge this past weekend in McCook IL.
We had several guys compete and many for the very first time. We ended the day with 3 Gold and 2 Bronze medals. Josh Passini, head coach and owner of 10th Planet Chicago took gold in his division. Jake Nuesser, Fight Chix owner, took Gold in 230lb intermediate executive division and a bronze in the advance division. Matt Paul took gold in 215lbs advanced adult and 3rd in 230lbs advanced adult. And all the other guys who didn’t place, left it all out on the mat and learned, which is what competition is all about. We always go out looking for the finish rather than to win on points, because getting that tap is jiu-jitsu at its purest form. Awesome work to all that competed!
