    White belt lost in Dallas

Anyone know a good place in Dallas to start? I live downtown and most schools I have seen are outside the city, and not a lot of nogi options, if any. I have a boxing background so would like to find somewhere with some type of striking classes as well. I need to stay close to downtown as I have limited time. If anyone trains downtown or has some knowledge of good schools please let me know. Thanks in advance!

I don't live in Dallas, but I looked and saw that there was a Marcelo Garcia affiliate run by 3rd degree BB Ron Ables. It's listed under the official MGA association page so it's legit. http://www.marcelogarciadallas.com/
There's also Carlos Machado running his own school down there. http://m.carlosmachado.net/

A great, great, great place to train is with Octavio Couto. This guy is 5th degree under Romero Cavalcanti, who's known for creating a lot of legends. I did a seminar with Couto and he had an entire room of black belts dumb-founded with his details. It was mind-blowing. I have it on my bucket list to go visit Dallas just to train with him. Definitely recommend for gi and no-gi.

    AND, they have striking classes
