Attn 10th Planet Hotboxes

After discussions with Eddie and some of the other 10p generals we've come to the decision to disolve the 10th Planet Hotbox program. We believe the program to have been a success and we agree its fulfilled its original intent, to help spread the system to areas where the system was once unattainable. With over 60 affiliates world wide 10th Planet Jiu Jistu is now more accessable that its ever been and it continues to grow and strive. Its our hope that the current group of hotboxes will contact Eddie (eddie@10thplanetjj.com) and start the process of becoming an offical 10th Planet Moon. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing some new moon heads develop!

I'm going to repeat what I posted in the other thread and elaborate a little more.

I feel like the Hotbox program aided me considerably on the path to where I am now. Thank you Zog, Eddie, my sponcered instructor back in the day Cade, and everyone otherwise involved for the time they spent on this project. And for everyone who was a sponsored instructor or tried to be and isn't going to get a thank you from those they helped... Thank you. Thank you for your support of the system.

So will there be schools opening in places like New York or Houston? I am just wondering because it would seem like cities that have the largest population besides Los Angeles and Chicago, do not have 10th planet schools that is not 2-3 hours away. I don't know how far Beaumont is from Houston or how far Fairfield is from Nyc.

Beaumont is about an hour from the nearest edge in Houston, an hour and a half from most of it. I have some students that make the commute. There where several guys wanting a hotbox in Houston and maybe eventually a moon. But honestly, after 3+ years of not making that happen, I'm a little pessimistic about them.

There is no doubt in my mind there will be a 10th Planet moon in Houston one day, probably more than one. Its definitely the type of city that could support several moons with no draw back. After all, North and South Houston are about an hour from each other.

I think people are missing the point of Hotboxes...they were a temporary fix, not the only way to get a moon near you. Just because the program is no longer active, doesn't mean there will be no more moons in the system and there won't be a school opening near you. It just means that if there are folks out there motivated enough and ready to take that leap, they need to coordinate with Eddie to open a school and affiliate directly. If you're down with the system, start training it any way you can and work on affiliating. I know a few folks on here went from hotbox to moon successfully and a few that went straight to being an affiliate. Brian is a good example of how a hotbox was a successful transition, but there are other moonheads on the forum that went straight affiliate and were successful as well. Look for the closest moon to you in the locator and start there; ask questions, train as much as you can, start small and then grow into an affiliate. Don't be afraid to reach out and contact a moonhead directly...good luck!

I was asking why is there not schools in Houston or New York. I understand the hotbox program being discontinued. Brian answered why Houston has not had one open yet. So I guess some people might of missed my question.

Wasn't insinuating anything David and didn't mean any disrespect...your question wasn't about hotboxes, but just about schools opening in general. There were other comments earlier and on previous sections regarding hotboxes that related to hotboxes being the only way to open a school. I was just making sure that folks don't confuse the topic of discussion as some may think that just because we're ending the hotbox program, that no more schools would be opening. Which is far from the truth...we're growing!
