My E-Mail to Mr. Kizer and the NSAC

To the NSAC and relevant media outlets.

Keith Kizer's response to Joe Rogan's on air criticism of the judging and commissions actions in Mixed Martial Arts only serves to show that he is incompetent to hold the office he now holds.

For him to try and deflect blame of the poor judging in MMA by stating that the UFC brings some of the NSAC officials with them to other countries is a cheap cop-out that frankly makes me as a fight fan and martial arts student very angry, The obvious reason that the UFC brings licensed officials from the biggest fighting commission in the U.S. with them to none commissioned areas is because they have little choice, It would not reflect well on them to select just anyone as they would be targeted for corruption and fixing fights immediately so they bring with them someone from an established commission to handle things and avoid a conflict of interest.

It in no way what so ever is a show of approval by the UFC that these people are 100% competent in their job.

That does not excuse the NSAC and Mr. Kizer from allowing these people to continue being licensed officials of the commission and judging a sport that they clearly do not understand enough to be 100% competent in.

The system by which Mixed Martial Arts is judged is far to juvenile to account for the many complex elements of the sports grappling and striking and the people judging these fights do not understand what they are seeing and that is completely unacceptable for a top sports commission to allow this to continue without changes being made.

The Judges as well as the Referees need to go through a course to educate them properly on the sport not just a few basic rules about what is allowed and not allowed.

The entire scoring system needs to be changed and there needs to be experienced martial artist from the various elements of the sport present to properly judge what is taking place, An experienced Boxer, Kickboxer, Wrestler, and Judo or Jiu-Jitsu practitioner should make up the judging pull scoring their respective elements there needs to be a minimum level of experience put in place to become a judge or ref in the sport.

If you do not understand what it means to transition from (Half-Guard to the Lockdown and attempt the Whip-up so you can escape to Side-Control and transition to Spider-Web so you can go for the Arm-Bar finish or if they attempt to block the Arm-Bar you go for a Chamber-Lock)

If you do not understand what it means to pull (Rubber Guard and be in Mission Control and try to get the Hand on the mat using the Zombie so you can Hug the knee and Clear the neck so you can transition to Jiu-Claw or go for the Gogo-Plata finish)

If you do not understand what a Brazilian kick is.

If you do not understand the difference between a standard (Standing No-Arm Guillotine Choke) and a (Guillotine using the Marcelo Grip)

If you do not understand what the difference between a (German Suplex) and a (Victor Roll) is.

If you do not understand what the difference between a (Low Single Leg) and a (Sacrifice Throw) is.

If you do not understand what the difference between an (Anaconda Body Lock) and a (Anaconda Gator Roll) is.

Then you are not competent to judge a SINGLE element of My sport, Our sport, The sport of Mixed Martial Arts.

Kieth Kizer must properly address these issues in MMA or he must step down or be removed from his position on one of the most important sports commissions in the United States the NSAC.

This message has been forwarded to ESPN, CBSsports, FoxSports, Sports Illustrated, Kieth Kizer, and the NSAC.
