MTS 113 Question (Weak side rubber guard, palm down grip)

In MTZ 113 (at approximately 11:55), when Eddie demonstrated going from strong side side rubber guard to weak side rubber guard, he proposed grabbing the ankle with your palm down (facing away from you), rather than the regular way (i.e. palm up, facing towards you).

Does anyone know the reason for this?

Is it faster to pull off? Does it work better, or somehow make switching back to good side rubber guard easier?

I would guess so? Am thinking if its the regular way (i.e. palm up, facing towards you); that hand might get caught. cos the transition back to the good side RG was fast. not good if it gets caught or slows down the movement?

just a silly white belt thought. not sure if its right though...

Sweet, thanks for the reply! Gonna start working on this. The transition/flow looks super useful.
