    Nova Gyms Open Tounament

Hey guys, it's been a long while since I've posted here. My apologies! I've been training hard and have gotten my purple belt somewhere in between this post and my last. I have recently gotten the itch to get back into competition. I wanted to really be more confident in my defenses and it has helped me tremendously in preparation. I get way less nervous when I compete then I used to. Still working on it but have made leaps forward.

I've definitely experienced a lot of paralysis by analysis before and have a hard time competing the same way that I roll in training.

This is an event I did recently in Milwaukee. Open format. Was not really like most tournaments I have ever attended in the past. But I had fun and got to experience different body types.

    Any feedback is always appreciated.

We drill this all the time.

First match of the day: Lost on points.

Got to play some rubberguard, truck, and show off some of the system. Kept a fast pace and should have been more patient. The twister got so close!!

Had a great time and went 3-1 on the day. Submitting all my finishes and losing only to points.

Here is my last match at Nova Gyms Scrimmage Tournament.

Stayed calm had fun. Hit the Reverse spiderweb with leg trap kimura. This match was against a 150lb blue belt and super friendly guy.
