Pressure from opponent, I am on bottom.

    Hi everyone,
Please do you guys know any discussions/video/MST teaching some paths/principles when you want to use rubber guard on a pressuring opponent on top of you? Especially a guy who is strong enough to always manage to get back standing on both feets and pin his head right under your chin. Thanks!

You need to keep your frame strong and press against their collar bone. Leg on their hip also helps with the pressure.

But in the end of the day, clearing the neck is the key. Once your leg is in front of their face they can't really stand up.

That sounds like a great time to get underneath your opponent. Change your guard up. Forcing him to do what you want when he likes to get beaten in other ways is like slamming your head against a wall.

Open your game up. Rubber Guard is one of the sharpest tools in the game, but it isn't the One Guard to Rule Them All. Right tool at the right time is what you need to be thinking.
