I liked the first takedown. It is a sacrifice throw in Judo forget the name. Royce used it on shamrock 3.

what exactly is the point of the drill

    Two main points:

    1.) Practice your armbar toss
    - at a 45% degree angle
    - with a solid deep hook on the arm
    - using both legs to toss him in the correct manner (one swings wide, one hits the armpit)

2.) Own the leg in spiderweb
    - as the opponent tries to get to his knees and stack you, you practice using the leg control and toss to keep him neutralized.

    Best,

    Mario

Cool way to make that a flow drill! Your detail about the 45 degree angle is spot on. It’s a forced shoulder roll when you angle the legs and steer with the knee you underhooked, is how I explain it. Will definitely use this drill; thank you!
