    I am not sure if you are aware but I heard Koral is making something to combat this problem in the grappling world. Toe and finger nail scrapes are a real problem. I don't have the actual photos yet but my contact at Koral calls them "gis for the hands and feet".

    gi for hand/feet LOL but at my gym we dont have a issue with it, mainly because all the instructors most likely carry clippers with them....but I personally keep my nails as short as possible from two years of violin. can't play with nails

    while were on the subject if somebody does happen to scratch you with there claws consider covering your bobo with medical tape for class because seeing a band aid on the matt or stuck to your shorts is pretty nasty too and the tape is less likely to come off.
