    First GI lesson...

After years of nogi, I decided to try putting the gi on. GOD its frustrating! Every time I thought I'd passed the guard or escaped, I'd realise they were still hanging onto my collar or sleeve, and slowly reel me back in.

On a more positive note, I finally managed to do the double lotus! Has anyone watched Idiot Abroad Season 2 (probably only in UK)? Karl Pilkington does the double lotus while in Thailand like its no big deal! He then gets smacked round the head with a stick by a buddist monk. Apparently an ant bit him when he should have been meditating.

Yeah, man. I went from nogi to gi, and felt like a fish out of water. It def is a different world, but I've come to love the gi. Good luck.

Obviously MTRG and MTT are the definitive nogi bibles, but can anyone recommend the equivalent Gi book? I'm leaning towards Marcelo's X-guard.
