My first BJJ Tourny coming up and wanna compete at a division I'd need to cut weight in. How should I go about the weight cut if it's same day... If I dehydrate myself for the weigh ins will the fluid I drink after be enough to keep put me back to normal when the match begins?
probably not a good idea. depends how much you are trying to cut.
Don't do it. Already enough to worry about for your first competition.
Depends if youre weighing in right before you step out on the mat or in the morning. If youre needing to cut weight and weigh ins are the same day Id say dehydrate as little as possible. Get your diet in check and get your walk around weight right around your weight category. Then if you have to cut at all it will be a very small amount
