This Sucks big ones!!!!!!

Well I'm out of the competition scene for at least a month again. Last time I went out 2 months ago for a left torn hamstring.Now I'm out again for a right torn hamstring.This freaking sucks ass.Well out of all this crap I did place 2nd in the advanced division 205+.I was dominating the Absolute 170+ division until I blew my hamstring out taking the back of a guy that weighed 320 lbs.I sunk both hooks, seat belted and pulled back and POP!!!!!So I couldn't continue and was disqualified. Can anyone give me some advice on how to strengthen my hamstrings up so they won't keep blowing out?Thanks . I'll post the vids up as soon as I can.

Dang bro that sucks. As for the hamstring, im not sure its about strengthening it, i think its more of a stretching issue. Hope you recover fast.

Strength is a big factor in flexibility believe it or not. For example when we say our hamstrings are tight you're actually weak at that range of motion. Look into a program call 3D hip flexibility it addresses the entire lower body

If you're willing and able to spend the money you might want to find yourself a physical therapist or chiropractor that does Graston Technique. It's an instrument assisted soft tissue massage technique that will essentially help break up any scar tissue that could be hindering your quads/hamstrings from keeping a proper balance of strength, or which could be inhibiting your hamstrings' flexibility/pliability, overall inhibiting your ability to recover completely.

Also, you might want to rethink whatever kind of strength and conditioning you're doing outside of jiu jitsu training.

Flexibility and Strength are related. Since I have started doing Glute Ham Raises (?Russian Leg Curl?) regularly my hamstrings and glutes are much stronger and powerful at all ranges. Also, I now have an ass like a stripper and there is no baggy spandex when I go #Fullspats.
