Question about the reaper mount escape
Can anyone think of a way to progress from the final position of the reaper mount escape that doesn't involve a heel hook (or a calf slicer)? I've been using the reaper (without knowing it) ever since I started jiu jitsu, and I've got a competition next weekend that doesn't allow heel hooks.
I've found when trying the reaper that sometimes my opponent kicks his leg to the other side of my body, and I can get to 50 50 guard from there. My 50 50 guard is nothing to write home about, so I'd appreciate any input on this. :)
